The Greenwich Music Trust has been established to extend and enrich the musical opportunities and experiences of all children and young people through the Royal Greenwich Music Hub
The Royal Greenwich Music Hub supports and helps to deliver instrumental tuition, classroom music and a range of extra-curricular musical activities to over 5000 young musicians across the borough. The Hub runs two Saturday Music Centres, which have in turn supported the establishment of three borough youth ensembles. The Hub organises regular local and regional concert opportunities for young musicians, which has led to performances at major venues, including Blackheath Halls, the Royal Festival Hall and The Royal Albert Hall. These performances showcase the wealth of musical talent in youth bands and choirs across the Royal Borough of Greenwich at both primary and secondary school level.
A thriving Greenwich Music Trust nurtures future musicians by extending access to crucial progression routes and raising awareness of the opportunities available to them. Our ambition is to see more local children benefitting from and contributing to the rich, musical heritage of London.
